Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Senior Care Lead to join our dedicated care team. This vital role involves overseeing the delivery of high-quality senior care within a care home environment, ensuring residents receive personalized support that promotes their well-being, dignity, and independence. As a Senior Care Lead, you will inspire and supervise care staff, develop tailored care plans, and foster a warm, respectful atmosphere for residents and their families. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining excellent standards of care while creating a positive and supportive environment for both residents and team members.
Duties
- Lead and supervise care staff to ensure the delivery of compassionate, person-centered care aligned with best practices and regulatory standards
- Develop, review, and implement individualized care plans that meet each resident’s unique needs and preferences
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering professional growth and teamwork
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members to ensure clarity and transparency in care delivery
- Oversee daily operations within the care home to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with health regulations
- Coordinate transportation needs by utilizing driving skills when necessary to support resident outings or appointments
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident progress, incidents, and care activities using IT systems designed for healthcare settings
Requirements
- Proven experience supervising staff within a care home or senior care setting with a strong understanding of eldercare principles
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
- Experience in developing and managing personalized care plans for seniors
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, healthcare providers, and team members
- Valid driving license with reliable access to transportation for resident outings or errands
- Proficiency in IT systems used for documentation, scheduling, and communication within healthcare environments
- Knowledge of relevant health & safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and quality standards in senior care
