Forklift Driver / Yard Operative – Builders Merchant

£28,730 – £30,940 per annum
Working Hours: 5-day working week (Monday–Friday) with Over-Time Opportunities on Saturday.
Our client, a busy and well-established builders merchant, is looking for an experienced Yard Forklift Driver to join their team.
This is a hands-on, predominantly outdoor role, operating forklifts to load and unload HGVs, supplier vehicles, and customer collections while helping to keep the yard running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely
- Operating Counterbalance forklifts in a busy yard environment
- Moving and organising stock throughout the yard
- Assisting customers with collections
- Maintaining a safe and tidy working area
What We're Looking For:
- Valid Counterbalance forklift licence
- Previous forklift experience within a builders merchant, timber merchant, or similar environment preferred
- Strong awareness of health and safety
- Reliable, hardworking, and customer-focused attitude
