Join a fast-paced airport catering and logistics operation as an HGV Class 2 Driver. Initially, you’ll be responsible for moving stock and equipment between yards, covering short distances of only a few hundred yards. Once fully vetted and cleared, you’ll progress into the main airside operation.
Location – Heathrow
Job Type – Full Time, Ongoing
Shifts & Hours:
- 4 on / 4 off shift pattern
- Operations run 7 days a week, including public holidays
Shift Times:
- 07:00 – 18:15
- 13:00 – 00:15
- 15:30 – 02:45
All drivers will rotate and are required to cover any of the above shifts depending on the rota.
Pay Rate:
Initial Role & Responsibilities:
- Driving HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicles between airport yards
- Moving stock, catering equipment, and supplies between locations
- Short-distance driving, with movements generally only a few hundred yards
- Loading and unloading stock and equipment
- Completing vehicle safety checks before and after shifts
- Ensuring stock movements are completed safely and efficiently
Essential Requirements:
- Valid UK HGV Category C (Class 2) licence
- Digital Tachograph card
- Maximum of 6 minor penalty points
- Previous Class 2 driving experience required
- Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
- Ability to work flexible shift patterns
- Willingness to work weekends and public holidays
- Strong awareness of safety in a busy, time-sensitive environment
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work
- Willingness to undergo full airside security clearance
