Due to our kitchen becoming busier, we're looking to recruit a new member of the team - this time a cook who can step into front of house as and when needed.
The position will be available from the start of September with hours of:
Tuesday to Friday - 11.30am until 2.30pm
Saturdays 11am until 3pm
Overtime will be available and occasional Saturday evening work will be required.
The successful applicant will be reliable, enthusiastic and hard-working. They will be able to work under pressure and must have worked in some capacity in a professional kitchen.
Our kitchen is upstairs, so you must be physically fit and be able to go up and downstairs multiple times in a day.
Where a successful applicant does not have an ideal skill, training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Preparing simple food; e.g. pizzas, baguettes, salads, toasties etc.
- Supervising and managing menus.
- Helping downstairs on the till and with drinks during lulls in the kitchen.
- General customer service.
- General cafe tasks as required; e.g. cleaning, restocking.
Essential Experience and Skills
- Kitchen experience.
- General numeracy and English.
- Food hygiene level 2.
Ideal Skills and Experience
- Barista experience.
Holidays - 90 hours per year (not accounting for holidays accrued with overtime)

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
