Position: Tenant Data Collection Officer
Location: Council Offices, Nottingham, NG9 1AB
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 3+ Months
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Pay Rate: PAYE: £19.95 per hour
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date tenant records across housing systems, including personal details and tenancy information
- Identify gaps in tenant data and support improvements to data quality
- Collect tenant information through surveys, interviews, document reviews, and home visits
- Update and manage tenant records in line with data protection requirements and confidentiality standards
- Produce reports to highlight data gaps and support performance monitoring
- Create surveys using Microsoft Office and online forms, and encourage tenant participation
- Communicate clearly with tenants, colleagues, and stakeholders throughout the data collection process
- Provide excellent customer service and signpost tenants to relevant support and information
- Obtain appropriate consent for data processing and ensure tenant information is handled securely
- Follow lone working procedures, risk assessments, and health and safety requirements when visiting tenants
- Carry out other duties appropriate to the role as requested by the line manager

- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with tenants and colleagues
- Understanding of confidentiality and data protection principles, including GDPR requirements
- Ability to work independently, including carrying out tenant visits in line with safety procedures
- Commitment to providing a high standard of customer service
Compliance:
- Willingness to complete a Criminal Convictions Declaration and Confidentiality Agreement
Nice-to-Have Requirements:
- Experience working in housing, local government, or a customer-facing environment
- Experience using housing management systems or data recording systems
- Experience collecting and analysing customer or tenant information
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and online survey tools
- Understanding of equality, diversity, and health and safety standards
