⭐ Role Responsibilities
As a Service & Repairs Engineer, you will:
- Carry out annual boiler servicing and landlord gas safety inspections across social housing properties
- Diagnose and repair faults on domestic boilers, central heating systems, and hot water systems
- Complete repairs including pumps, motorised valves, radiators, thermostats, heating controls, expansion vessels, and boiler components
- Attend both planned appointments and emergency breakdowns, delivering a high first-time fix rate wherever possible
- Ensure all gas appliances and heating systems are safe, compliant, and operating efficiently in accordance with Gas Safe regulations
- Accurately complete job reports, certification, and update work completed using handheld devices
- Identify additional repair requirements and report follow-on works where necessary
- Deliver excellent customer service while working professionally within occupied homes
- Effectively manage your daily workload to meet productivity targets and service-level agreements
- Maintain the highest standards of health & safety, compliance, and workmanship at all times
⭐ Ideal Candidate
- Valid ACS gas qualifications
- Full UK Driving Licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
- Experience carrying out domestic gas servicing, fault finding, and repairs
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Experience working within social housing is desirable but not essential
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Able to work independently and manage a busy workload
- Committed to delivering safe, compliant, and high-quality work
