Trevilley Farm Shop
We are a family run Farm Shop and Cafe in Newquay.
We are a small team and are looking for a Kitchen Assistant who will be an essential part of our back room staff.
Job Overview
Your primary duties involve food preparation for pasty and pie production.
This mainly consists of chopping of meat, onions and potatoes.
You will be given appropriate training.
This is not an exhaustive list, and whilst it represents the bulk of your work, you may be asked to perform other duties.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen and knife work would be advantageous.
- You will be an essential part of a small team, so communication skills and a positive attitude are vital.
- You will also need to be pro-active in seeing what is required.
- Knowledge of basic culinary techniques is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Familiarity with food safety practices is preferred
Typical week will be one 4-6 hour (approx) shift on a Monday or Tuesday.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.75 per hour
