Overview
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Mechanic to join our team, responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing a wide range of vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with various tools and equipment. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics on vehicles to identify faults and issues
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks including engine repairs, brake replacements, and tyre servicing
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to facilitate repairs
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out assembly, disassembly, and repair work
- Carry out welding tasks as required for structural repairs or component replacements
- Maintain detailed records of all work carried out on each vehicle
- Assist with the assembly of new vehicles or parts as needed
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to clients
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Mechanic or similar role with a solid understanding of mechanical systems
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, equipment repair, and assembly processes
- Competence in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialised machinery
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when handling vehicle parts or components
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good organisational skills for managing multiple tasks effectively
- Ability to deliver high-quality customer service with professionalism and courtesy
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in vehicle maintenance or mechanical engineering are desirable but not essential

Pay: £35,500.00-£41,200.00 per year
