Curtain & Blind Fitter
Hours: Part-time (2 days per week)
Location: Westerham, Kent + travel to customer sites
Are you an experienced blind and curtain fitter looking for a brilliant two-day role?
Do you take real pride in your work and love being out and about in people's homes?
Are you the kind of person clients are genuinely pleased to have on site?
Hue House is a long-established, design-led interiors business with over 60 years' experience creating and installing beautifully crafted blinds, curtains, and shading solutions. We work with homeowners, interior designers, architects, and developers across Kent, Surrey, and London, delivering handmade, made-to-measure products fitted to the very highest standard.
We're looking for an experienced fitter to join our small, friendly team, someone who can hit the ground running and bring real confidence and craft to the role from day one. You'll also be working alongside our newer fitter, sharing your knowledge as you go and helping them grow. It's the kind of role that suits someone who loves the work and takes quiet pride in doing it properly.
We'd love to find someone who already knows their way around a blind fitting, capable, confident, and warm with it.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Fitting and installing blinds, curtains, tracks, and window shading systems in customers' homes and commercial properties
- Carrying out measuring appointments accurately and independently
- Handling remedial visits, adjustments, and aftercare as needed
- Working alongside our trainee fitter, sharing your experience and developing them as you work together
- Pitching in with workshop support and general operational tasks on non-fitting days
- Representing Hue House professionally and warmly at every customer touchpoint
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience fitting blinds and curtains across a range of systems, you know the job inside out
- You take pride in the standard of your work, as if you were doing it in your own home
- You're a natural people person, warm, professional, and easy to have in your space
- You're reliable, when you say you'll be there, you're there
- You're comfortable working independently and managing your own time
- You're adaptable and easy-going, no two days are the same and you wouldn't have it any other way
- You have a full UK driving licence (essential)
What We Offer
- A supportive, friendly working environment within a long-established local business
- A hands-on, role with real autonomy and flexibility
- Van and tools provided for all site work
- A calm, creative atmosphere that values craftsmanship, reliability and care
- Competitive daily rate or salary, discussed openly at interview
- 22 days holiday plus bank holidays
- The chance to work with high-quality materials on genuinely bespoke projects
What Success Looks Like:
- Clients consistently have a great experience, feeling looked after from the moment we arrive
- Fittings are completed to a high standard, on time, and with care
- Our trainee fitter grows in confidence and skill with your support alongside them
- You become a trusted, valued member of a small team that genuinely enjoys working together
