Gate & Barrier Engineer
Due to continued growth, AGBE Services (Automation Guaranteed Ltd) is looking for an experienced Gate & Barrier Engineer to join our expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a growing, supportive business where you will play an important part in delivering high-quality automated solutions for our customers.
The role
You will install, service and maintain automated gates, barriers, bollards and associated access-control systems. You will also respond to customer call-outs, complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits, diagnose faults and carry out safety upgrades where required.
This is a field-based role, working from our base in Blackrod, Bolton, across our operating area.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in the automated gate, barrier or access-control industry - minimum 5 years’ experience
- A strong electrical and/or mechanical background
- DHF and/or Gate Safe training preferred; training can be provided for the right candidate
- A full, clean UK driving licence
- A practical, safety-conscious and customer-focused approach
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work occasional overtime and travel when required
