About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Senior Carer to join our family run and dedicated care team. As a Senior Carer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care while supporting and supervising care staff to ensure the highest standards of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medication in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Lead and supervise care staff during shifts.
- Complete and maintain accurate care records and documentation.
- Review person-centred care plans.
- Liaise with healthcare professionals, relatives, and other agencies.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and safeguarding concerns.
- Support the induction, mentoring, and ongoing development of new care staff.
- Promote dignity, independence, choice, and respect for all service users.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Senior Carer or experienced Care Assistant.
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
- Medication administration training.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- A caring, compassionate, and professional approach.
- Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays where required.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
