Location: Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire
Contract: Potato Harvest – September - October
Salary: Competitive hourly rate, overtime rate
BH Savidge & Son is a family run business located in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire farming a mix of Combinable Crops and Potatoes. We are currently farming 1000 hectares with 300ha of this being potatoes. We are looking for a tractor driver to join our team for the potato harvest.
The role will involve but not be limited to general tractor operations, mostly hauling potatoes with a trailer. The experience of the candidate will affect the level of responsibility they are given.
Tasks will include but not be limited to:
- Trailer work – hauling potatoes
- Forklift/Telehandler work
The role is extremely varied, and no two days are the same.
Attributes that the successful candidate will possess:
- Must have previous experience in operating farm machinery
- Previous experience with potatoes is preferred, but not compulsory
- Pro-active and can-do attitude
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Full driving licence
We're looking for someone to join us from the beginning of September through to the end of October, with some flexibility on the start date for the right candidate.
