You will have a degree or SVQ4, or equivalent, in a finance/management/administrative related subject.
As part of the school senior leadership team, you will provide a strategic management/leadership role ensuring the effective delivery of all school support functions. You will support effective learning and teaching as directed by the Head Teacher.
You will have proven experience of working in management including human resources and finance matters and have experience of working with managers at a senior/strategic level and of the management of staff within a multi-disciplinary environment. A working knowledge of health and safety matters is essential, as is a working knowledge of business planning and performance management. You will have good communication skills, both oral and written, highly developed organisational skills and able to lead and motivate staff and colleagues. In addition, you will be self-motivated and IT literate, with the ability to adapt to and manage change and be a team player. You will be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends and to be involved in the wider life of the school. You will be willing to undertake relevant training. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
