Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Technician to join our team, responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor environments. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and gardening, with a strong focus on landscape maintenance and construction. Duties
- Perform regular landscape maintenance including mowing, pruning, planting, and fertilising to ensure healthy growth and visual appeal.
- Operate a variety of power tools such as trimmers, blowers, and lawnmowers safely and efficiently.
- Use hand tools for planting, edging, and general garden care tasks.
- Assist with construction projects such as installing pathways, retaining walls, or garden features.
- Manage irrigation systems, including installation, repair, and maintenance to ensure optimal watering schedules.
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for larger landscaping projects under supervision.
- Conduct routine maintenance of equipment and tools to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute landscape designs aligned with client specifications.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance or horticulture is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to garden machinery and power tools.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as spades, rakes, and pruners.
- Experience operating heavy equipment like excavators is advantageous.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and repair.
- Strong understanding of gardening practices and plant care principles.
- Ability to undertake construction tasks related to landscaping projects.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Physical fitness to perform outdoor labour in various weather conditions.
