Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of plumbing systems and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential properties. We are looking for someone who will demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and have a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
The successful applicant will be provided with a works vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
- Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Assemble and install valves, fittings, and pipes using hand tools and power tools.
- Perform welding tasks as required for pipe repairs or installations.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Respond promptly to emergency plumbing calls and provide effective solutions.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proficient in basic maths for measurements and calculations related to plumbing tasks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various plumbing issues.
- Experience in welding techniques relevant to plumbing applications is highly desirable.
- Ability to plumb effectively using both traditional methods and modern techniques.
- Familiarity with assembling various plumbing components using hand tools and power tools.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting as required during installations or repairs.
- A valid commercial driving licence is advantageous for transporting equipment between job sites.
- Previous experience in the plumbing industry or a related field is essential.
