About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join our friendly and growing IT support company based in Leeds.
This is a hands on technical role supporting a varied client base of businesses and residential customers.
You will work primarily from our Leeds LS14 office, with regular travel to customer sites throughout Leeds and the surrounding areas.
We are particularly looking for someone with strong, practical Microsoft 365 experience. You should be comfortable taking responsibility for Microsoft 365 environments, troubleshooting problems and supporting users without requiring constant supervision.
This is not an entry level position. Applicants must have previous professional IT support experience.
Essential Technical Experience
You must have:
- A minimum of 1 years’ professional IT support experience
- Strong Microsoft 365 experience
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 tenants for business users
- Exchange Online administration experience
- Microsoft Entra ID administration experience
- Experience with Microsoft 365 user accounts, groups, licences and permissions
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft Teams
- SharePoint and OneDrive administration and troubleshooting experience
- Experience using the Microsoft 365 Admin Centre
- Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 security settings
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems
- Experience diagnosing PC hardware and software faults
- Experience installing, configuring and repairing desktop and laptop computers
- Experience working with helpdesk or ticketing systems
Desirable Experience
Experience in the following areas would be advantageous:
- Microsoft Intune
- Conditional Access
- Multi Factor Authentication
- Microsoft Defender
- Windows Autopilot
- Azure services
- Microsoft 365 tenant migrations
- Exchange mailbox migrations
- DNS configuration, including MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC
- Networking, routers, switches, WiFi and VPN troubleshooting
- Apple macOS support
- Backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Previous experience working for an MSP or IT support provider
Your Responsibilities
Your day to day responsibilities will include:
- Providing remote and onsite technical support
- Managing Microsoft 365 environments for business customers
- Creating and managing users, groups, mailboxes and licences
- Troubleshooting Exchange Online, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive issues
- Managing Microsoft 365 security settings and policies
- Troubleshooting Windows computers, laptops, networks and peripherals
- Diagnosing hardware and software faults
- Installing and configuring new computers and equipment
- Answering technical support calls
- Managing and responding to helpdesk tickets
- Visiting customer premises to provide onsite support
- Keeping customers informed throughout support incidents
- Documenting work and technical information accurately
- Escalating issues appropriately when required

- Takes ownership of customer issues through to resolution
- Has a professional appearance and manner when visiting customers
You must also hold a full UK driving licence and be able to commute to our Leeds LS14 office each working day.

Working Location
This is an office based position.
You will be based at our Leeds LS14 office and will also travel to customer premises.
This is not a remote working position.
