CleanTech People are recruiting for an experienced Early Help Worker to support children, young people and families across the Bootle area.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in family support, early help, children and young people, safeguarding or community-based support, who is passionate about helping families overcome challenges and achieve positive outcomes.
You will work directly with children, young people and families using a strengths-based and solution-focused approach, helping them identify their own solutions, build resilience and make sustainable positive changes.
You will manage a caseload, complete assessments, develop support plans and work closely with a range of partner agencies including schools, health services, housing and voluntary organisations.
The role will involve both office and community-based work, including independent home visits.
Manage a caseload of families and work towards positive, measurable outcomes.
Complete Early Help Assessments, identifying risk, vulnerability and safeguarding concerns.
Capture the voice of children, young people and families throughout assessments and interventions.
Develop and review bespoke support and action plans with families.
Deliver targeted one-to-one and group interventions.
Undertake independent home visits to assess family needs and provide appropriate support.
Identify and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive case records, assessments and review notes.
Coordinate multi-agency support around families.
Work closely with schools, Health Visitors, Early Years providers, Housing and voluntary-sector organisations.
Provide advice, information and appropriate signposting to families.
Make referrals to relevant support services where required.
Support parents to develop confidence and skills around parenting and child development.
Help families develop practical skills including budgeting, health, hygiene and household management.
Encourage parental engagement and support children's education.
Promote Family Hub services within local communities.
Participate in meetings, reviews, consultation events and partnership activities.
Contribute to training, awareness sessions and service development.
Ensure all information is handled confidentially and in accordance with data protection requirements.
We are looking for candidates with:
Experience supporting children, young people and/or families.
Experience managing a caseload and maintaining accurate records.
Experience carrying out assessments and developing support plans.
Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and identifying risk.
Experience working with vulnerable individuals or families with complex needs.
Strong communication, engagement and relationship-building skills.
A strengths-based, solution-focused and non-judgemental approach.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-agency team.
Confidence undertaking home visits and community-based work.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
Good IT and case-recording skills.
Experience within any of the following areas would be advantageous:
The successful candidate will be required to travel between locality delivery points according to service needs, and the role includes independent home visits.
A car allowance/mileage rate may be payable where applicable.
£17.37 per hour PAYE
