Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our dental professionals. As a Dental Nurse, you will assist in various dental procedures, ensuring that patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their treatment. Strong communication skills and a keen organisational ability are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, providing chairside support.
- Prepare and maintain the dental surgery, ensuring all instruments are sterilised and ready for use.
- Take patient medical histories and record vital signs accurately.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage patient records and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Schedule appointments and follow up with patients regarding their treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the practice.
- Handle administrative tasks such as billing, inventory management, and ordering supplies.
Skills
- Proficient in IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling systems.
- Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Strong focus on patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients' needs.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both patients and dental professionals to ensure smooth operations.
- Previous experience as a nurse or in a healthcare setting is advantageous.
- Highly organised with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
