Shunt Loader – Warehouse

About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and safety-conscious Forklift Driver/Shunt Loader to join our Warehouse team. This is a hands-on operational role responsible for loading and unloading shunt lorries, supporting material flow across departments, and maintaining efficient warehouse operations.
You will play a key role in ensuring production departments are supplied with the correct materials while maintaining a safe and organised working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload shunt lorries safely and efficiently
- Supply production departments with raw materials and empty pallets
- Remove and manage scrap materials, ensuring correct weighing, labelling, and storage
- Operate counterbalance forklift trucks and other equipment (e.g. PPT where required)
- Carry out daily forklift safety checks and report any defects
- Use scanner systems to track pallet movements accurately
- Update picking lists and support warehouse documentation processes
- Maintain housekeeping standards, keeping work areas clean and organised
- Support weekend/night operations including loading and material movements
What We’re Looking For
- Valid B1 Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential)
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Good understanding of health & safety practices
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- A proactive, reliable, and safety-focused approach to work
