Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces on new build and renovation projects. Candidates should possess good communication skills, own transport and a valid driving licence, and experience in construction painting. Payment will be made via CIS (self-employed subcontractor basis). The successful candidate must be prepared to work in Sheffield, Doncaster and Gainsborough
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paints, varnishes, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Follow project specifications and safety guidelines diligently
- Inspect painted surfaces for quality, coverage, and finish smoothness
- Maintain a clean workspace by disposing of waste materials responsibly
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively regarding project progress and issues
- Assist with surface repairs or preparation work as required
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting or related roles is preferred
- Valid driving licence is essential for transporting equipment and materials between sites
- Good command of English language for understanding instructions and communicating effectively with team members
- Strong communication skills to coordinate tasks efficiently within a team environment
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions
- Organised with attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to painting activities
