Commercial Account Handler
£35,000–£40,000 salary | Hybrid working (2 office days per week) | Bonus scheme available
LNJ Recruitment is working with a specialist insurance broker in Manchester that manages a major property insurance portfolio. They’re looking for a Client Services Executive who can support the Account Executive and wider leadership team while delivering a high-quality service to a key client.
This role suits someone who enjoys structure, detail and being the steady pair of hands that keeps a complex portfolio running smoothly. You’ll be involved in renewals, data work, insurer negotiations, and day-to-day client support.
What you’ll be doing
- Working closely with the client to understand their needs and recommend the right cover
- Gathering claims information and risk data ahead of renewal meetings
- Managing the full renewal and placing process, from obtaining terms to highlighting risks and agreeing cover
- Confirming cover with insurers and handling premium invoicing
- Updating all policy and client information accurately on Acturis
- Preparing research, data packs and meeting materials for senior managers
- Setting up direct debit agreements and liaising with accounts teams and insurers
- Delivering strong day-to-day service across phone, email and written communication
- Staying aware of market trends and external factors that impact the client
- Monitoring performance against agreed targets
- Always ensuring full regulatory compliance
- Working with underwriters to make policy amendments when needed
- Maintaining professionalism and representing the business with integrity
What we’re looking for
The ideal candidate will bring both technical knowledge and a calm, reliable approach to managing a large property portfolio.
You should have:
- Strong experience in construction and property insurance, ideally 5+ years
- Experience managing large portfolio spreadsheets, including formulas, insurer ratings, MTAs and mail merges
- Minimum Cert CII or willingness to continue professional qualifications
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to build trusted relationships with both clients and insurers
- A commitment to great service and responding quickly to queries
- Good market and industry awareness, supported by CPD
Clear understanding of FCA requirements and regulatory changes
