Hooe Primary Academy is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and committed PPA / Cover Teacher for Year 3/4 to join our vibrant school community. This is an exciting opportunity to work across lower Key Stage 2, supporting pupils in their development and helping them build confidence, independence and a love of learning.

As a PPA / Cover Teacher, you will:

Work alongside class teachers to cover PPA time, delivering high-quality teaching across Year 3 and Year 4

Take on class teacher responsibilities within a LKS2 class

Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that meet the diverse academic and social needs of pupils

Build strong, positive relationships to support pupil wellbeing and achievement
-
Undertake effective assessment, recording and reporting

Deliver statutory and non-statutory assessments as required
-
Contribute to a stimulating and well-organised learning environment

Lead and direct support staff within the classroom

Collaborate with teachers and leaders to track progress and provide timely interventions

We are a one form entry school within Hooe which was established in 1926. We have a fantastic school site with three playgrounds, a large school field, and additional classroom spaces which are used for a range of activities. Our primary aim is to encourage all our pupils to be self-confident, inquiring, tolerant, positive individuals, who have respect for the differences of others.
