Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Hairdresser to join our dynamic salon team. Duties
- Assisting senior stylists with hair cutting, colouring, and styling procedures
- Providing basic hair treatments such as washing, blow-drying, and styling
- Supporting the front desk team with appointment scheduling and client enquiries
- Ensuring the salon environment remains clean, organised, and welcoming
- Learning and applying techniques for eyelash extensions and makeup application under supervision
- Engaging with clients to understand their needs and offering personalised advice
- Upselling additional services or products to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Mentoring new team members as experience grows
- Managing store management tasks including stock replenishment and maintaining product displays
Experience
- Previous experience in hairdressing or beauty therapy is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with clients and team members
- Experience in barbering, eyelash extensions, or makeup application is a plus
- Proven customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
- Ability to work well within a team environment and take direction from senior staff
- Organised with good time management skills to handle multiple appointments efficiently
