About the role
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic Customer Service Administrator to join our dynamic team in Rushden. In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service by efficiently managing orders, handling enquiries, and maintaining clear communication between customers and internal teams.
Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction, supporting business efficiency, and strengthening relationships with our valued clients. Key Responsibilities
· Process and manage customer orders and forecasts, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
· Handle inbound and outbound customer contact via telephone and email in a professional and timely manner.
· Diagnose customer issues, research solutions, and provide accurate information to resolve concerns on first contact whenever possible.
· Proactively follow up with customers to ensure issue resolution satisfaction and prevent recurring problems.
· Maintain accurate system information, ensuring data integrity and the removal of obsolete data.
· Provide administrative and logistical support to the external sales team, communicating key updates as needed.
· Liaise closely with technical support, external sales, and production teams to provide customers with accurate and up-to-date information.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams across all sites.
· Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling, introducing customers to additional products or services that meet their needs.
· Prepare and provide order information, reports, and forecasts as required.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the customer experience and streamline internal processes.
· Maintain a comprehensive understanding of company products to provide expert guidance and advice.
· Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and customer-specific requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
· Experience in a fast-paced office or customer service environment is essential.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to learn new systems quickly.
· Experience within a manufacturing or distribution environment is desirable.
· Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
· Commercial awareness and understanding of customer needs and expectations.
· Previous experience handling both telephone and email enquiries is advantageous.

Pay: £27,390.00 per year
