Duties
- The successful candidate will be highly driven, innovative, proactive and passionate about primary care. You will share our ethos to provide and maintain high quality clinical care in an ever changing environment and will help to shape and drive future development of the Practice.
The Tutbury Practice is a friendly semi-rural GP surgery located in the village of Tutbury, providing high-quality primary care to a patient population of approximately 8,500. We proudly serve patients from Tutbury and the surrounding areas, including Rolleston, Hatton, and Stretton.
Our clinical team is made up of two GP partners and five salaried GPs, supported by a skilled multidisciplinary team that includes a clinical pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician, nurse practitioner, and first contact physiotherapist. We are also fortunate to have a friendly, experienced nursing team, alongside a dedicated administration and reception team who play a vital role in supporting patient care.
The practice operates a total digital triage system using accuRx, enabling efficient access to care and streamlined patient communication. We use EMIS Web and Docman to support safe, effective clinical practice and document management.
The Tutbury Practice is a training practice for GP registrars and medical students and is an active research practice, contributing to research that helps improve patient care locally and nationally. We hold regular clinical and practice meetings to support teamwork, learning, and service development, and we consistently achieve high QOF outcomes.
Overall, we are a supportive, forward-thinking practice with a strong team ethos, committed to delivering excellent care to our local community.
