Overview
Seva Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN-school Teacher to join our vibrant team in Richmond upon Thames. As a full-time member of staff, you will support students with special educational needs within a primary setting, and you'll be working with an incredibly supportive Senior Leadership Team and will have significant opportunities for progression and leadership.
This role allows you to contribute to a nurturing environment that aligns with our ethos of providing personalised, holistic education tailored to each learner’s needs, whilst working closely with a committed team to foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
Duties
- Deliver high-quality, personalised lesson plans that meet the individual needs of students with SEN, fostering their academic, social, and emotional development in line with the school’s inclusive ethos.
- Support students on a 1:1 basis or within small groups, ensuring they access the curriculum and engage fully in their learning journey.
- Implement strategies and interventions tailored to each learner’s abilities and targets, working collaboratively with the SENCO and other staff to monitor progress.
- Adapt teaching resources and approaches to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs, promoting independence and confidence among students.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing classroom environment that reflects the school’s commitment to respect, kindness, and inclusivity.
- Assist with the behavioural management of students, applying consistent, compassionate approaches that align with the school’s values.
- Contribute to the creation and review of individual education plans (IEPs) and ensure their effective delivery.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and development activities to continually enhance your practice in line with the school’s professional development ethos.
- Collaborate closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to support student progress and well-being.
