Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible serving practices.
- Engage with customers, providing recommendations and answering questions about drink offerings.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, demonstrating basic math skills.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food items when applicable.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service.
- Monitor inventory levels of bar supplies and communicate needs to management.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred, showcasing strong hospitality skills.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to maintain a safe environment for guests.
- Basic math skills are necessary for handling cash transactions and managing tabs.
