Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist in food preparation and serving of light snacks or pastries as required.
- Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction with their selections.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, utilising basic math skills for register operations.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods while maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and support each other in daily tasks.
Skills
- Previous barista experience is highly desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained.
- Excellent serving skills with the ability to interact positively with customers.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing orders effectively.
- Good time management skills to prioritise tasks during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail.
