Job Overview
We are looking for experienced multi-drop delivery drivers to join our expanding team, subcontracting to DPD in Bridgwater. This role is on a self-employed basis. Candidates must be competent, reliable, willing to work hard and have proven multi-drop delivery experience. We are ideally looking for drivers with knowledge of Taunton area
Responsibilities
- Deliver packages to designated locations within timed delivery windows.
- Operate a van safely and responsibly.
- Load and unload parcels of various sizes, ensuring safe handling.
- Communicate effectively with customers and management.
- Work under pressure, meeting strict time guidelines, locating properties, and problem-solving.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
- Ensure all deliveries meet the highest standards and compliance specifications.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a multi-drop delivery driver (minimum one year) with companies such as DPD, Amazon, FedEx, DHL, Evri, or Yodel (references may be required).
- A valid DBS check certificate is required.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety practices is an advantage.
- A valid full UK driving license held for more than two years, with no more than 6 points and no outstanding convictions.
- Ability to work independently.
- Physically capable of lifting parcels up to 30kg.
- Use of your own mobile device for the DPD app.
- Ability to manage your own tax accounts and HMRC requirements (support provided via the WISE app).

- Spot rate per delivery, with daily earnings typically ranging from £120 to £200, depending on the number of stops completed.
- 4-weekly pay cycle.
- Van, fuel, and insurance provided at no extra cost (business use only; excess damage costs apply).
- Pre-planned routes, with flexibility to adjust based on route knowledge.
- Assistance with van loading.
- Average 100–150+ stops per day.
- Work available 6 days a week, with a flexible rota planned in advance.
- Full DPD compliance training (two days required).
- Constant remote support during deliveries.
- Assistance with parcel sorting and loading.
- Must be 19 years or older; experience is essential.
- Work provided by a world-leading parcel delivery network.
