As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing a welcoming and efficient service both in person, online and over the phone. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the practice by supporting our clinical and administrative teams.
Our reception is open between 8am and 6.30pm Monday to Friday, with Enhanced Access services being offered on Thursday evenings until 8pm and every 3rd Saturday. Our Medical Receptionists need to be flexible to ensure we have cover at all times.
Main Responsibilities
- Greeting and assisting patients in a polite and professional manner
- Answering telephone calls and managing appointment bookings
- Processing prescriptions and managing patient enquiries
- Handling patient records and correspondence accurately and confidentially
- Handling all of our online triage forms and ensuring that they are either responded to or directed to the appropriate place.
- Care Navigation of patients to appropriate services such as Pharmacy First, Minor injuries service when they are more appropriate for their enquiry.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 27.0 per week
