An exciting opportunity for a qualified social worker with experience of working with children and families to join an innovative team at a time of modernising fostering.
We are seeking an individual with energy and enthusiasm in order to complement the existing supportive and experienced team.
You will be offered professional supervision and guidance, together with the offer of further training and development opportunities.
Key responsibilities of the post will be to provide support to foster carers using an approach that will motivate and enthuse. You will also assist with training, recruiting and assessing of foster carers.
The successful candidate will play a key role in making a real difference to the lives of Children Looked After through supporting Foster Carers. Having an understanding of the unique and complex nature of the arrangements and working effectively by contributing to service developments and innovations is an essential requirement.
It is essential that the post holder has the ability to travel throughout the County on a regular basis, often to and from remote locations at short notice.
As the team works in a bilingual area, the ability to communicate in both Welsh and English is desirable for the above post.
