Senior Medical Secretary

We're looking for an experienced Senior Medical Secretary to join our growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an organised, proactive and patient-focused individual to provide dedicated support to a group of consultants, managing patient pathways from referral through to discharge while ensuring the smooth running of busy clinics and theatre lists.
What you'll be doing
- Providing dedicated secretarial support to an allocated group of consultants.
- Managing consultant clinic and theatre diaries, appointments and scheduling.
- Coordinating patient journeys from initial referral through to treatment and follow-up.
- Acting as the main point of contact for patients, consultants, hospitals and external stakeholders.
- Preparing medical correspondence and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Liaising with hospitals, insurers and the billing team to support seamless patient care.
- Managing enquiries professionally and delivering an outstanding patient experience.
- Supporting service improvements and helping ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
About you
You'll be an experienced Medical Secretary who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong relationships with patients and consultants.
You'll have:
- Previous experience working as a Medical Secretary (private healthcare experience desirable).
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confidence managing multiple priorities and consultant workloads.
- A proactive, flexible and professional approach.
- A commitment to delivering outstanding patient care and service excellence.
