Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter this is a a full time position requiring weekday and evening shifts to be covered you must be able to work alongside other team members follow instruction in a bustling restaurant environment. The Kitchen Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff, ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.
Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored correctly after use.
- Help with the delivery and storage of food supplies, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Support chefs during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed.
- Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Participate in regular cleaning schedules to uphold hygiene standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills to interact with kitchen staff effectively.
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.
