Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable Van/Pick Up Driver and Site Labourer to join our team. This role involves safely transporting goods and materials between locations, as well as assisting with site labour tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience in construction site operations, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a van or light commercial vehicle to deliver goods and materials to designated sites
- Assist with loading and unloading items, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed
- Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Support site labour activities, including heavy lifting, organising supplies, and general site maintenance
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery schedules and site requirements
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups in accordance with company procedures
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations during transportation and site work
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or commercial driver is preferred
- Familiarity with site operations and site labour activities is advantageous
- Proven ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills for liaising with team members, clients, and suppliers
- Valid driver’s licence or equivalent is essential and insurance
- Experience in driving commercial vehicles or vans is highly desirable
