Main purpose of role:
Operational leader of the groundworks and infrastructure on residential housing sites
Reports to:
Contracts Manager/Managing Director
Duties/responbilities:
- Manage direct and subcontract labour to complete all aspects of groundworks including: road and sewers, cut and fill activities, substructure and residential finishing trades.
- Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with relevant drawings and specifications.
- Material management, movement and control across site.
- Ensuring compliance with Highways adoptable and LABC building standards.
- Programme daily activities to ensures projects remain on schedule with the ability to be flexible to accommodate changing plot completion dates.
- Identifying issues early and drive solutions to keep projects moving forward.
- Mentoring and developing less experienced operatives.
- Maintain high level of standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.
Experience required:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience within the groundworks industry with proven experience leading site teams.
- Residential experience advantageous.
- SSSTS as a minimum.
- Full UK Driving License.
- CPCS/NPORS tickets for 360 Excavator, Dumper, Roller advantageous.
This position is based at Nettleham, Lincoln.
Pay: £65,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
