We are recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Nursery Deputy Manager to join our dynamic and vibrant team here at Three Bears Nursery and Preschool in North Leeds.
As our Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for leading and motivating our team of educators to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children from birth to 5 years, to facilitate their growth and development. You will work alongside our Nursery Manager to do this.
You will lead in ensuring the setting is a safe and clean environment for children, staff, parents and visitors and in ensuring the nutrition guidance is followed and well understood.
You will take on or train to take on the role of the SENDCO supporting staff to care for and support development of their children with additional needs in the setting and where required liaise with outside agencies.
Three Bears Nursery have a commitment and responsibility for the safeguarding and welfare of adults and children alike, you will be expected to abide by and enforcing policies and procedures, complete required training and your job offer will be subject to satisfactory references and DBS check.
Requirements:
- At least level 3 or above in early years education.
- At least 3 years of experience in an early years setting.
- Ideally previous leadership experience such as room leader or senior in an early years setting.
- Ideally a commitment to obtaining a higher level leadership qualification.
- Passion for childcare and early childhood education.
- Sound knowledge of child development.
- Ability to write clear reports.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage and prioritise tasks and time effectively.
- Good knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
