Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed, and experienced Female Football Coach to lead and develop our women's/girls' football team. The successful candidate will create an enjoyable, inclusive, and high-performance environment where players can develop their technical skills, tactical understanding, fitness, and confidence while promoting teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship.
The coach will be responsible for planning and delivering weekly training sessions on Monday evenings and managing the team during Saturday matches, ensuring players are well-prepared and supported throughout the season.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organise, and deliver engaging football training sessions every Monday.
- Lead and manage the team during Saturday league and cup matches.
- Develop players' technical, tactical, physical, and mental performance.
- Select matchday squads and make tactical decisions during games.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive team culture.
- Encourage teamwork, discipline, respect, and good sportsmanship.
- Monitor player development and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all players during training and matches.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents (where appropriate), club officials, and league representatives.
- Work alongside club volunteers and staff to support the overall development of the football programme.
- Promote the club's values and represent the club professionally at all times.
Essential Requirements
- FA-recognised coaching qualification (UEFA C Licence or equivalent preferred).
- Experience coaching female football players.
- Strong knowledge of football coaching principles and match management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire players of varying abilities.
- Current Emergency First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to complete one).
- Availability to coach on Monday evenings and attend Saturday fixtures throughout the season.
Desirable
- FA Level 1 Licence or higher.
- Experience working within grassroots or women's football.
- Experience in player development and talent identification.
- Full UK driving licence and access to transport.
