We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tyre Fitter to join our automotive service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting tyres, and ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest safety and quality standards. Responsibilities
- Remove and replace tyres on various types of vehicles using appropriate hand and power tools
- Inspect tyres and wheels for damage, wear, or defects, advising customers accordingly
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment and tools used in tyre fitting and wheel alignment
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining procedures and addressing customer concerns professionally
- Assist with other vehicle maintenance tasks as required, including balancing tyres and checking suspension components
Requirements
- Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems, tyre
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling tyres and wheels of various sizes
- Strong attention to detail to ensure precise alignments and quality workmanship
- Good customer service skills with a professional attitude
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks effectively
- A valid driving licence is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
