An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Technician to join our growing team, supporting with the production of Intraocular Lenses that help improve people’s vision worldwide.
We are looking for an individual who has an impeccable attention to detail & precision, a sense of self-motivation and a strong work ethic.
You will be working in a manufacturing environment at our state-of-the-art HQ in Worthing, West Sussex.
This is a full-time permanent role, worked in 12-hour shifts between 7am to 7pm in 4 on, 4 off rotations.
You will earn £28,883 (annual salary of £25,783 plus £3100 shift allowance).
Some responsibilities include:
- Operation of machinery and associated process equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Following SOPs, safety procedures and training given from experienced technicians.
- To complete batch documentation accurately, understanding daily workflows and instructions.
- To understand and follow requirements for working in a change control environment.
- Assist with Process Improvement activities and new ways of working.
- Ensure that the Company’s Health & Safety policy and procedures are followed.
- To complete all data entries accurately and fully onto the process records.

We are recruiting in the following departments:
Cosmetic Inspection: this is where lenses are checked under a microscope, defective ones removed, and the rest loaded into injectors, filled with saline, and sealed.
Hydrophobic: this involves preparing and filling molds, curing and stabilising lenses using specialist machinery, and measuring and sorting lenses into correct power categories.
Final Pack: this involves placing sealed lens pouches into cartons with required paperwork, performing a final visual check, labelling, and sending them to the warehouse for shipment.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience in production or manufacturing is desirable.
- Able to follow written procedures and processes accurately.
- Good manual dexterity and a precise approach to hands-on work.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good written and numerical English.
- Basic computer and data-entry skills.
- Professional, proactive, and team-focused approach.
