We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Buying team as a Junior Buyer within our General Merchandise Category!
Buying sits at the heart of our business strategy, and we’re passionate about continuing to deliver Top Brands at Bottom Prices for our customers. You’ll have the chance to manage your own category, meet with suppliers, and develop exciting product ranges from concept through to delivery.
Working within a busy and growing department, you’ll play a key role in driving performance and identifying new opportunities. As part of the team, you’ll also have the opportunity to travel overseas to source the very best products, keeping us ahead of trends and ensuring we remain competitive in the market.
Job Overview
- Selecting, sourcing, and buying products for your category

Placing orders to ensure strong in-store availability

Developing pricing and promotional plans

Analysing sales data to identify opportunities for growth

Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers

Monitoring sales, shipments, and overall product performance

Managing sample approvals and maintaining the product sample library

Keeping up to date with market activity and external trends

Gathering feedback from stores and field teams regarding product ranges, availability, and layout
Minimum Criteria To Apply
We’re looking for someone who is:

An experienced Assistant Buyer or Trainee Buyer seeking progression
-
Highly commercially aware with a good understanding of market trends
-
Able to work under pressure and manage tight, often conflicting deadlines
-
Detail-oriented, analytical, and skilled at spotting emerging trends
-
A confident communicator and strong relationship builder
-
Organised, proactive, and equipped with excellent problem-solving skills and a real ‘can do’ attitude
