Kitchen Assistant – Term Time Only
Ideal School Meals supplies a range of catering services to primary schools across Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly Bourne team.
This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the preparation of school meals while helping to maintain high standards throughout the kitchen environment.
Duties will include:
- Food preparation
- Washing up and cleaning duties
- Packing away deliveries
- General kitchen support
Applicants should be flexible between the hours of 10:00am and 2:00pm.
This is a term time only position.

You will:
- Understand the importance of food hygiene and take pride in maintaining a clean and organised working environment
- Have good written English and numeracy skills
- Be friendly, approachable, and possess excellent customer service skills
Existing food safety training would be an advantage; however, full training will be provided on our internal food safety management systems and cooking methods.

This role requires:
- An enhanced DBS check
- A Children’s Barred List check
- Two previous employer references
Pay: £12.71 per hour
