Overview
We are seeking a friendly and proactive Retail Store Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, maintaining store presentation, and supporting sales activities. The ideal candidate will be organised, possess strong communication skills, and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment. Bilingual abilities, particularly in English and Spanish, are highly desirable to assist a diverse customer base. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop retail experience and enhance organisational skills, The hours do include evenings and weekends, Applicants must be 18 years or more.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their enquiries in a professional manner
- Maintain the visual merchandising standards of the store, ensuring products are well-presented and organised
- Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system, including upselling products where appropriate
- Manage stock levels by replenishing shelves and organising stockrooms efficiently
- Provide product information and recommendations to customers to enhance their shopping experience
- Handle phone calls with courtesy and professionalism, providing information or directing calls as needed
- Assist in organising promotional displays and seasonal decorations
- Support team members with various store tasks to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications
- Fluency in English;
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with divers
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and stock management
- Good time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods
- Experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Professional phone etiquette and a friendly demeanour are essential for delivering outstanding customer service

- The hours are 2pm-8pm Thurs, Sat and Sunday with 1 weekend off every 5th week.
Pay: From £12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 per week
