Retail Manager – Crouch End, London
Mellis Cheese | £30,000–£34,000 (depending on experience) | Full-time, 40 hours/week
Run your own shop floor. Lead a close-knit team. Sell delicious artisan cheese.
Mellis has been championing artisan cheese for over 30 years, now across six branches in the UK, including our shop in the heart of Crouch End. We're looking for a sales-driven food and drink enthusiast to take the reins here.
What you'll be doing
- Leading a small team - rotas, annual leave, probation meetings, and day-to-day motivation
- Building real relationships with retail and wholesale customers, and growing our loyal Crouch End customer base
- Hitting quarterly sales targets, working directly with company directors on promotions, events, and growth ideas
- Keeping stock tight - ordering well and minimising wastage
- Running a spotless, well-organised shop
- Championing your team's growth and development
- Staying aligned with company policies and procedures
What we're looking for
- Previous experience managing a small team
- A genuine passion for artisan cheese and food & drink
- Retail experience with a flair for great customer service
- Strong organisational skills - comfortable switching between admin and shop floor
- Availability over the festive period, our busiest and most exciting time of year
- Personal Licence Holder status is a bonus, not a requirement
