Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional experienced Waiter/Waitress to join our vibrant restaurant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred, but full training will be provided for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly, ensuring a positive first impression
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the point-of-sale system
- Serve meals and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and hygiene
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items and upsell where appropriate to enhance guest experience
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to during food preparation and service
- Clear tables and assist with the organisation of the dining area to maintain cleanliness and orderliness
- Handle guest queries courteously and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks if required, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate effectively with team members to deliver seamless service throughout shifts
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality minimum 2 years restaurant service or similar roles is advantageous.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Kitchen or culinary experience can be beneficial but is not mandatory
- A positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn are essential qualities for success in this role
Pay: £8.00-£17.00 per hour
