Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic team member to join our team here at The Feathers Pub & Eatery in Castor. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, Food and Drink and a commitment to providing outstanding guest services.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Take Drink & Food orders accurately, ensuring that all requests are noted.
- Provide recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation meets our culinary standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and kitchen space.
- Always adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
- Assist with basic food preparation as needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods. Basic Kitchen Cleaning when required.
- Maintaining and managing cellar to be clear, clean and safe.
- Handle payments efficiently, ensuring accuracy in transactions.
Experience
- Fun & Extroverted personalities is most advised.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong guest service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing bills effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous.
- A willingness to learn about Food, Drink and Hospitality services.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
