Holden Knight is looking for passionate, engaging and dedicated tutors to join our growing team, delivering high-quality one-to-one tuition to Key stage 4 learners.
We are primarily seeking GCSE Maths and English tutors, although we also welcome applications from tutors with experience teaching Science and Humanities subjects.
Our learners come from a range of backgrounds and may require personalised support to build confidence, close learning gaps, prepare for GCSE examinations or re-engage with education. Every programme is tailored to the individual, allowing you to make a meaningful and lasting impact.
The Role
You will deliver engaging, personalised 1:1 tuition that supports each learner's individual needs, learning style and pace. Your role will be to build confidence, strengthen subject knowledge and help students achieve their academic goals in a supportive, encouraging environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging one-to-one GCSE tuition in Maths, English and, where appropriate, Science or Humanities.
- Plan and adapt lessons to meet each learner's individual needs and preferred learning style.
- Support students in developing subject knowledge, study skills and exam confidence.
- Use targeted revision techniques, practice questions and exam strategies to prepare learners for GCSE assessments.
- Monitor learner progress and provide clear feedback.
- Foster positive relationships that encourage motivation, resilience and a love of learning.
About You
We're looking for tutors who are:
- Knowledgeable in GCSE Maths and/or English (Science and Humanities specialists are also encouraged to apply).
- Experienced in tutoring or teaching secondary-aged students.
- Familiar with GCSE examination boards such as AQA, Edexcel and OCR.
- Patient, adaptable and able to tailor their teaching to individual learners.
- Passionate about helping young people overcome barriers and reach their full potential.
- Excellent communicators with strong organisational skills.
