New City Landscapes – Milton Keynes
New City Landscapes is looking to add another person to our grounds maintenance team.
We’re a growing landscaping and grounds maintenance company based in Milton Keynes, looking after a mixture of commercial properties, residential developments, managed estates and other sites across the surrounding areas.
We’re open to speaking with people looking for an employed position as well as experienced self-employed operatives looking for regular work.
The role
The day-to-day work will mainly involve:
- Grass cutting and mowing
- Strimming and edging
- Hedge cutting and reductions
- Weed control
- General grounds maintenance
- Litter picking and site tidying
- Seasonal maintenance
- Keeping sites looking clean, tidy and well maintained
There may also be opportunities to get involved with other landscaping and property maintenance work depending on your experience.
Who we're looking for
Ideally, you'll already have some grounds maintenance or landscaping experience and be comfortable using the usual machinery and equipment.
We're not expecting someone to know everything from day one.
More important to us is finding someone who:
- Turns up and can be relied on
- Takes pride in their work
- Works well as part of a team
- Can work without needing to be constantly supervised
- Is professional when working on customers' sites
- Is willing to get stuck in and have a good attitude
A full UK driving licence would be preferred.
PA1/PA6 or other relevant landscaping qualifications would be an advantage, but aren't essential.
Employment
We are happy to consider:
- Permanent employed applicants
- Self-employed grounds maintenance operatives
- Experienced landscapers looking for regular ongoing work
Pay and working arrangements will depend on experience and whether you're applying on an employed or self-employed basis.
Interested?
If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, apply through Indeed with a short overview of your previous experience.
You don't need to send us a huge cover letter. Just tell us a little about what you've done previously, what you're doing currently and what type of position you're looking for.
Pay: £12.71-£15.50 per hour
Work Location: In person
