Talent Acquisition Lead - 12 Month FTC
Who are we?
The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) is a leading international organisation providing health, safety and environmental NEBOSH qualifications. Our qualifications are recognised and respected worldwide by employers, governments and learners, helping to raise standards of competence in workplaces across the globe.
NEBOSH employs over 220 colleagues and generates approximately £25m of annual income. As we continue to evolve and strengthen our organisation, we are investing in additional capability within our People function to improve resilience, enhance service delivery and ensure we attract and retain the talent needed to deliver our future plans.
Why apply?
This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of talent acquisition across a successful, purpose-driven organisation during an important period of development.
Reporting directly to the Interim Chief People Officer, you'll work closely with hiring managers and senior leaders across the organisation, helping to attract and appoint the talent needed to deliver NEBOSH's future ambitions. This is a genuinely hands-on role where you'll combine recruitment delivery, stakeholder partnering and continuous improvement, making a visible impact from day one.
You'll join a collaborative and supportive People team where colleagues work flexibly across role boundaries and share responsibility for delivery. We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, bringing pace and structure to recruitment, and helping managers make better hiring decisions.
We're particularly interested in candidates who embrace modern ways of working and can thoughtfully use technology, data and emerging AI tools to improve recruitment effectiveness.
What you'll be doing
As our Talent Acquisition Lead, you'll provide dedicated recruitment expertise and capacity during a period of transition, helping NEBOSH attract, appoint and onboard talented people while improving the effectiveness of our recruitment practices.
You will play a key role in:
- Partnering with hiring managers to define recruitment requirements, strengthen role briefs and improve the quality of hiring decisions.
- Leading end-to-end recruitment activity across a diverse portfolio of vacancies, from approval through to offer and onboarding handover.
- Managing recruitment activity proactively, ensuring vacancies progress at pace and stakeholders have clear visibility of priorities, risks and next steps.
- Improving candidate and hiring manager experience by making recruitment processes professional, efficient and consistent.
- Strengthening recruitment practice, assessment approaches and selection processes to support fair, inclusive and evidence-based appointments.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider HR team to coordinate recruitment delivery and provide a seamless service to managers and candidates.
- Providing recruitment insight, pipeline reporting and workforce planning information to inform organisational decision-making.
- Supporting delivery of the People roadmap and contributing practical insight to the future development of talent acquisition and the wider People function.
