Job Summary
Mac’s Deli is an independent sandwich deli and coffee spot serving specialty sandos to Theale’s business community. We are looking for a reliable and motivated Chef/Sandwich Artist to support daily prep, food assembly, kitchen hygiene and allergen compliance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working clean, working fast, and working as part of a positive team.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to recipes and portion standards
* Daily prep of fresh ingredients (washing, cutting, marinating, labelling)
* Maintain high levels of cleanliness in the kitchen, prep areas and equipment
* Follow food safety procedures, allergen processes and FIFO stock rotation
* Assist with stock checks and ingredient replenishment
* Support end-of-day cleaning / closing tasks
* Communicate clearly with Front of House during service
* Ensure consistent quality and presentation during busy periods in best output time.
Skills and Experience
* Minimum 1 year kitchen experience (café, deli, bakery or restaurant preferred)
* Understanding of allergens and food hygiene (Level 2 Food Safety required)
* Ability to work quickly and stay organised in a fast-paced environment
* Positive attitude, reliability and good communication skills
* Right to work in the UK
