The Role
We are looking for experienced HGV Class 1 and Class 2 Tanker Drivers to operate our 3K, 4K, and 6K tanker vehicles.
You will collect and transport wastewater safely and efficiently across various locations. Previous tanker experience is preferred, although training may be provided to suitable candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate 3K, 4K, or 6K tanker vehicles.
- Collect and transport wastewater to designated disposal sites.
- Complete scheduled jobs safely, efficiently, and professionally.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects immediately.
- Accurately record mileage, fuel usage, AdBlue levels, job details, and disposal information.
- Complete and submit daily timesheets and all required job documentation.
- Communicate with the Transport Team regarding schedules, delays, and operational issues.
- Follow drivers’ hours, Working Time Directive, and tachograph regulations.
- Comply with company health and safety procedures and transport regulations.
- Complete reasonable yard duties when requested during standby periods.
- Keep the assigned vehicle clean, secure, and in good working condition.
Essential Requirements
- Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) driving licence.
- Valid Driver CPC.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and tachograph regulations.
- Proven professional HGV driving experience.
- Ability to meet the company’s vehicle-insurance requirements.
- Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Flexibility to work day shifts, night shifts, and standby periods.
Desirable Experience
- At least one year of tanker-driving experience.
- Experience operating 3K, 4K, or 6K tanker vehicles.
- Previous experience in wastewater, drainage, liquid waste, or environmental services.
- Experience using vacuum tanker equipment.
